Challenges Catalyst is the UK element of The Challenges Group.
Formed in 2010, Challenges Catalyst offers a range of business development services as well as functioning as the training and awarding centre for qualifications from the Chartered Management Institute.
The Challenges Catalyst team offer business support to clients, partners and other members of the Challenges Group family, while also undertaking research and analysis, project design and management, and monitoring and evaluation.
Another key role is co-ordinating development programmes in locations where Challenges has operations but no permanent office, including Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Georgia. Currently, there are 10 people based in its Scottish office. An additional two colleagues work overseas, including at our RISE Project in Ethiopia.
Based just off Edinburgh’s famous Leith Walk, Challenges Catalyst is a key partner in the Montgomery Street Lane venture, a multi-partner and collaborative ecosystem that brings together social business, sustainable development, innovation and impact investment. As part of the Montgomery Street Lane enterprise, Challenges Catalyst works closely with partners FirstPort, Volunteering Scotland and Project Scotland with a focus on supporting the social business community in Scotland to encourage growth and seize export opportunities.
